I promise you – if you follow his approach you can learn not only the Italian language but also any other language in the world.
1. Passion & Desire
So first and foremost you must have the passion and desire (desiderio) for learning Italian.
There exist many ways to learn Italian and these various ways of learning are the process of learning Italian. The most important point is that you enjoy the process of learning the language.
So the journey itself is even more important than the goal or destination. Learning Italian should not be some terrible task but a fun hobby for you.
2. English to Italian dictionary
So now let's get down to the hobby and passion of learning Italian. After the desire to learn Italian language you need a small English to italian dictionary.
And besides your small dictionary you take with you everywhere you need a large dictionary too.
3. Italian Textbooks
Now get yourself Italian text books preferably ones that have conversations and dialogs in them.
4. Learn Italian Vocabulary with flashcards
The best way to learn Italian vocabulary is with lists of basic Italian words. You’ll get here several Italian lists for free. Prepare flash cards with Italian words and practice them daily.
Another great tip is to get those long sentence strips and write whole phrases on them. Ask for sentence strips in teacher supply stores.
5. Get books on tape/CD in Italian
Get Italian music on CDs. Listen to all your Italian CDs in your car. Don’t drive 10 miles to work and 10 miles back without your Italian CDs playing. No matter whre you go have your CDs playing. See your car as your language lab.
6. Italian TV & Radio
Watch Italian TV and listen to italian radio as well. You can get them very easily on the internet.
7. Rent italian movies
Oh, don't forget to rent and watch Italian movies. Get yourself a large collection of backup copies.
8. Use a hand held tape recorder
Get a hand held tape recorder and have your Italian friends
talk into it. Have them read books into it.
9. Learn italian free in our forum
Write to people in Italian on this or any other Italian forum.
10. Italian Language School Italy
If you can’t afford an Italian language school in Italy then take an Italian class at your local community or adult college. Adult classes are usually non credit and free.
